Myrtle Software sells software and services to the visual effects industry. We are extremely proud to have helped produce computer generated images for over 15 major Hollywood blockbusters.

We have a proven track record in deploying our cutting edge simulation tools into studios and using them to execute challenging shots for major feature films.

Since 2007 we have exclusively supported the volume renderer known as 'Storm' for Digital Domain in LA and Vancouver.

Where we came from

Myrtle Software was founded in 2003 by Peter Baldwin to develop high-end effects software. He wanted to write production level tools that had a development cycle and technical complexity that exceeded the normal constraints of the R&D period of major feature films. Myrtle Software aims to provide this software to all visual effects houses to reduce their R&D overhead and help them produce better images.

Peter Baldwin has a PhD in pure mathematics from Cambridge University and has worked in the visual effects industry for 8 years
